Art by Minnesota
Artists with Disabilities
Note: Reception (2pm) and VSA Awards (2:30), Sunday, 22nd
Feburary
All of the works in this exhibit were created
by Minnesota artists with disabilities. In some instances, their
disability directly influenced their art.
In other cases,
their
visual impairment, mental illness or physical disability had little or
no effect on their work. In all cases, the artists were chosen
because of the excellence of their work and their continuing dedication
to their art.
This exhibit is made possible by VSA arts of
Minnesota, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote
quality, accessible arts experiences for people with all types of
disabilities. It is an affiliate of VSA arts, an international
network of organizations headquartered in Washington, D.C. that
“promotes the creative power in people with disabilities.”
